About Us
Welcome to The Boleh Family website. Its our own mini diary, where we pen down our adventures both indoors and outdoors. Each of us have our comfort adventure, ranging across baking, to board games to the great outdoors. One thing we jointly love is the heavenly king of fruit, aka durian! We hope that we will be able to capture and house our time spent as a family that we can always look back and laugh over as we grow older.
Who are We?
We are a family of 4, calling Malaysia as our home. A lot of our adventures are across the beautiful state of Penang (voted the 3rd best place to retire on), while our goal is to eventually cover all the states of Malaysia
First of all, there’s “Daddy”. Hailing from Selangor, he’s an outdoor freak who will always challenge the entire family for hikes… but always rewards the two kids in the end!
“Mummy” is the household’s foundation. She got her good looks growing up drinking the fabled waters of Kinta Valley. The mother who cooks, does all the house chores, and helps the two kids with homework.
“Da Jie” or in Chinese “大姐” is the oldest child who loves to read, write and draw. She’s the one who drew the pictures!
“Mei Mei” or in Chinese “妹妹” is the youngest of the family. She’s the sound itself in the house, and loves her snacks.
Why Boleh?
In Malaysia, Boleh in our mother tongue means “OK” or “CAN”. It is what we respond to each other when we are called to new experiences. We hope you enjoy our stories, as we learn to say “Boleh” to new challenges, new experiences and new adventures!
